The Land of the Free Built State by State

A happy husband!

Two years ago we started to show the children pictures of fifth wheels. My husband and I were all excited as we immediately saw the benefits of a house on wheels: voyage, adventures, discoveries, freedom, flexibility, savings and much more. Sabrina and Philippe first expressed surprise as coming from Europe they have never seen or been in contact with anyone traveling full time. However as we went from one RV show to the next, their anticipation of what this new life could be grew in their hearts up to the point of praying every day for this to become reality. From then everything we were buying had to be fifth wheel approved in terms of the size and practicability! how much fun it was to shop with these criteria in mind!

Why such a life! Some will say: poor kids all day with their parents! Sabrina will laugh as she thinks that this is much more fun than going into the same classroom each day of her teenage life! However our close friends and family demonstrated a lot of support for this project. Thank you.

There are a set of reasons that justifies the choice we made. One of them is the fact that we were closer to becoming American citizens and as a result we felt that we ought to know more about the different States that form America. As we are traveling from one State to the next, we experience the cultural, economic and political differences of each State. Some States we have enjoyed visiting but have no desire to settle there whilst other States for which we had some pre-conceptions of what they are ended up being places that we are considering when ready to buy land. Above all we are praying for God to guide our steps. Other reasons to choose this lifestyle included the way this country is currently being led economically and socially as well as some health issues we had to deal with which showed us how short this life is so let’s enjoy God’s perfect creation.
